CASA SUSANA

Casa Susana, located at 491 Pimiento Lane in Santa Barabara, was designed by Phillip French Sr. Influenced by the Alhambra and Casa Del los Conchas in Spain, this labor of love was completed by Napa Valley Limited principal Phillip French.

 

The doors in the home are mortisse and tendon with rosets cast from old doors sourced in Granada. Over 1,000 pounds of old hardware and locks were brought back from Spain. The fountain was cast from a rare slab of marble from the same quarry that the famous conch fountain had come from. The driveways were double poured slabs with Moorish mosaic inlays and the lions in the gates were cast in concrete carved by the well-known sculptor Bala Baci.
